Richard HuangCamp CounselorRichard Huang is a junior at the University of Southern California double majoring in electrical engineering and applied mathematics. He was an intern at The Aerospace Corporation in Communication Systems. In high school, he was the captain of Century’s Math League Team and Minnesota’s All-State Math Team. He has been involved in competition math since elementary school, joining both Math Masters and MathCounts. As a seventh grader, Richard placed fourth at the state MathCounts tournament and participated at the National Competition. Richard is a Top 10 MN Math League finisher for two years. He was the captain of MN's All-State Math Team last year and has been a part of the All-State Math Team for five years.

Tracy ZhangCamp CounselorTracy Zhang is an incoming freshman at the University of Pennsylvania, where she will study in the Huntsman Program in International Studies and Business between the Wharton School and the College. In high school, she was a co-captain of the Math League team and co-founder of Rochester Math Club. She participated in competitions including AMC, AIME and ARML; had placed top 5 individually in MN Math League; and was a member of the MN All State Math Team. Tracy was also involved in Model UN, STEM and music volunteering, and Asian-American activism. As a two-time recipient of the State Department-funded NSLI-Y scholarship, she had studied abroad in Jeonju and Seoul, South Korea. She was in Seoul for her gap year but returned home early due to the COVID-19 pandemic. At home, she is working as an online math tutor, reading mystery novels, and brushing up her language skills.

Benjamin B. Yan is a student at Stanford University and an U.S. Presidential Scholar, one of the nation’s highest honors for students. He is a two-time ISEF Finalist and a two-time state high school math champion. During high school, he interned at Mayo Clinic, where he used AI technology to analyze medical scans. His research has won national awards and was featured in a news article titled “When AI Goes Wrong.” Benjamin has been teaching students since 2017, specializing in the learning domains of computer science, MATHCOUNTS, and Jackbox Games. Outside of work, he enjoys Taylor Swift music, scrolling endlessly through TikTok, and NFL games. Helen is a sophomore at Carleton College, where she is a prospective chemistry major. In middle school and high school, she participated in competitions including MathCounts, Math League, AMC, AIME, ARML, and Math Prize for Girls. She has been a top-50 finisher in the Minnesota State Math League and selected for the All-State Math Team three times. She also participated extensively in Science Olympiad and was runner up at the State Tournament in Disease Detectives, Anatomy and Physiology, and Protein Modeling. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, running, and listening to music.

Frank LuCamp CounselorFrank is a senior at Minnetonka High School and one of the current captains of the Minnesota All-State Math Team. He's been doing math competitions seriously since 8th grade. Over the years, he's qualified for USA Math Olympiad three times and was invited to the Math Olympiad Program in 10th grade. He's also participated in various on-site competitions with the MN All-State Math Team, obtaining an 18th place finish at ARML in 2017 and a 41st overall individual finish at HMMT in 2019. Besides Math, he's also participated in physics competitions, finishing 2nd place in the region at Physics Bowl in 9th grade and earning a Silver in USA Physics Olympiad in 11th grade. When he's not doing competitions, he enjoys listening to music and playing piano.

Michael HuangCamp CounselorMichael Huang is an incoming junior at Century High School, and is a member of the Century Math League Team. He has participated in numerous math competitions, such as AMC, AIME, MathCounts, and ARML. He has volunteered as an RMC math coach since 9th grade. Michael has also participated extensively in Science Olympiad and Science Bowl activities, in both middle and high school. Outside of mathematics and science, he also enjoys playing video games and investing in random programming projects for fun. He especially enjoys breaking programs and websites by writing bots.

David LiCamp CounselorDavid is a 10th grader at New Hartford Senior High School. He has been attending numerous math competitions since 5th grade, including AMC, MathCounts, HMMT, PUMaC, and ARML. In 2016 and 2017, he participated in the National Mathcounts. In 2017 and 2018, he qualified for the USAMO. In the 2018 February HMMT, he came in 9th place in Geometry and made the HMIC. In addition to math, he also qualified for the USAPHO in 2018 and 2019. David's favorite subject of math is algebra, and he has fun particularly in solving brain teaser problems. Outside of math, he enjoys playing the violin and listening to music.

Timothy AlexanderCamp CounselorTimothy Alexander is an incoming homeschool senior from Rochester Minnesota. His love and interest in math started at a young age and he began participating in math competitions in middle school - winning the Minnesota Mathcounts competition and placing 29th nationally in 2016. Since then he has coached a Mathcounts team and individuals to state. He is a 4 time AIME qualifier and 1 time USAJMO qualifier, Timothy has been active in individual competition year round as well as team competitions such as Math League, HMMT, and ARML (competing on Minnesota's A1 team). This will be his 3rd year as Co-captain of John Marshal Math League team and he is a captain for the All State Math Team this coming year. His favorite math topics include Number Theory and Combinatorics. Outside of math, Timothy loves soccer, games, and working on random programming projects!

Zhishan WangCamp CounselorZhishan “Hao Hao” Wang is a sophomore at MIT studying biology. Hao Hao participated in various academic competitions in high school, including MathCounts, AMC, NOSB, NSB, and NAQT. She has four years of experience tutoring different subjects and coaching for MathCounts. She is interested in pursuing a career in biomedical research or medicine in the future.

Zoey ChenCamp CounselorZoey is a sophomore at Century High School and has enjoyed competition math since 5th grade. She was a part of the Math Masters team and received several awards individually. Later on, she was a member of Kellogg’s MathCounts team, and the team placed in both regionals and state. Currently, Zoey is learning new skills to prepare for the AMC test. She has been an RMC math coach since 8th grade and also teaches acrylic painting to RMC students as an enrichment program. In addition to teaching, she enjoys playing tennis and piano, learning languages, and she is part of the Century Debate Team.

Will WangCamp CounselorWill Wang is an upcoming sophomore at Boise High School. He has been actively involved in numerous academic competitions, such as MathCounts, Science Bowl, AMC, and ARML. He is a 2-time National MathCounts participant, as well the written champion for Idaho in 2018 and 2019. Will was also the math, biology, and earth science specialist of the TVMSC Science Bowl team, which placed 9th at the National Science Bowl in 2019. He has taught classes on competition math locally, as well as being a solutions writer for a course online. He is also the principal oboist for the Idaho All-State Orchestra. During the pandemic, Will enjoys lazing around and playing soccer and table tennis, as well as tickling the ivories. His favorite composers are Satie and Rachmaninoff.

Zachary DengCamp CounselorZachary Deng is an incoming freshman at MIT, planning to major in electrical engineering and computer science. He has competed in the USACO Platinum Division since 9th grade. He has received a gold medal in the USA Physics Olympiad, Honors in the US National Chemistry Olympiad, a gold medal in Princeton University Physics Competition, and the 2nd highest score internationally in the Physics Bowl. He also qualified multiple times for AIME. Zachary enjoys applying his programming skills to physics and bioinformatics research. In his spare time, he enjoys cooking, hiking and playing with his dog.

Leo XuCamp CounselorLeo has competed in many math competitions, including AMC 8/10 competitions, AIME (3 times), USAJMO, HMMT (3 times), ARML (2 times), MMATH (1st place team), PUMAC, Mathcounts, Mathleague and more. He qualified for the USA's Junior Mathematical Olympiad (USAJMO) as an eight-grader. He is an AMC 8 perfect scorer (out of 44 nationwide), and he got 13th at the November Harvard MIT Math Tournament (HMMT). He was also a two-times Math Kangaroo national champion with perfect scores and a MOEM perfect scorer in 4th grade. He is also a three times New Jersey state champion and national 3rd/5th place in Math League State and National Competition, respectively. He is currently a TA for the online Art of Sciences AMC 10 class. Aside from math, Leo enjoys to play tennis, chess, and basketball. According to chess ratings, he is almost half as good as Magnus Carlsen. He is also a huge fan of dried mangoes.
