Andrew YanCamp CounselorAndrew Yan is a rising sophomore at the University of Minnesota, where he is majoring in Physics. He formerly attended Century High School, where he was the captain for the Science Olympiad and Science Bowl teams and was involved in Math League and the National Economics Challenge. He was also a coach for the Rochester Math Club for five years before graduating. In his free time he enjoys reading, tinkering with microcontrollers, playing games, or working on the various labs and projects he is involved in.

She has been a member of the Minnesota All-State Math Team since 8th grade and has participated in various math competitions, including MathCounts, MN Math League, AMC, AIME, ARML, and HMMT. Outside of math, she does ballet, studies physics, and is currently undergoing a Mayo Clinic mentorship. She also holds leadership positions in Century High School Honor Society, Key Club, and the Mayo Clinic Young Volunteer Program. Her favorite ballets are Swan Lake, Don Quixote, and La Bayadere.

Aurora Wang is a graduating senior at Mounds View High School. She has participated in various math competitions including Mathcounts, MN Math League, AIME, ARML, MPFG, and HMMT. She also competed in Science Olympiad in middle and high school and is on her school’s economics team. Outside of school, Aurora is an avid pianist with numerous awards in piano competitions. She made several appearances as a soloist with professional orchestras and had a solo performance featured on Classical Minnesota Public Radio.

Joey is a rising senior at Lowell High School in San Francisco. He is a part of the robotics team, and plays bridge, having been to competitions such as the YNABC. He enjoys learning math and science, and collects marbles, although he lost most of them on the plane trip here. In his spare time he loves to count sheep, play piano, read, and draw. He especially loves being confused.

He has been involved in many mathematics competitions, such as MathCounts, MN High School Math League, AMC, AIME, and ARML. He represented Minnesota during the 2018 Mathcounts Competition, and has been a member of the MN All State Math Team since 2018. He has been a coach for the Rochester Math Club since 2019. He has taught a summer chess course, and has also coached the Kellogg Mathcounts since 2020. In his free time, Golden likes to pursue discord, play chess, and planespot.

He was a member of the Century High School Math League Team, and has participated in numerous math competitions, such as AMC, AIME, MathCounts, and ARML. He has volunteered as an RMC math coach since 9th grade. Michael has also participated extensively in Science Olympiad and Science Bowl activities, in both middle and high school. Outside of mathematics and science, he also enjoys playing video games and investing in random programming projects for fun. He especially enjoys breaking programs and websites by writing bots.

Michelle is a graduating senior at Wayzata High School. She has participated in various math competitions such as AMC 10/12, MN Math League, AIME, ARML, and MPFG. She has also taught competition math classes through RMC and TutoringMN. Outside of math, Michelle competes on the varsity tennis team, and she is also a leader of the Science Olympiad, BPA, and UNICEF clubs at her school. She likes playing piano and finding new artists to listen to in her free time.

Zoey Chen is a rising sophomore at Duke University, where she currently plans to double major in Computer Science and International Comparative Studies. At Duke, she’s involved with the Duke-UNC China Leadership Summit and Duke Applied Machine Learning. In high school, she served as co-captain for the debate team and the girls tennis team. In her community, she was involved in various educational initiatives, serving as secretary and coach for Rochester Math Club, operations manager for Living Room Tutors, and a coding teacher at a local elementary school. Some may know her for her love of art and painting, as she's taught many acrylic paining classes online throughout the pandemic.

Leo is a graduating senior at the Pingry School. He participates in math and physics competitions and is a USAMO qualifier, 2 time USAJMO qualifier, and USAPhO qualifier. He was also the captain of his school math team and led them to top 5 placements at national contests such as MMATHs and HMMT. He also is on the Lehigh Valley ARML math team, and helped lead them to 2nd at ARML and PuMAC. He was a former camper in Art of Science’s first year running, and has been a summer counselor for the past three years. He has started two of his own Math Kangaroo classes for 1st-4th graders in his hometown of Basking Ridge, NJ. He also plays basketball for his school, and leads his school's math and chess club.

Olivia Guo is a graduating senior at Mercer Island High School. She runs a social justice non-profit called the Education Coalition for Asian American Representation and is a research intern at the University of Washington Institute for Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine. She hopes to pursue political science and one day utilize health policy to combat inequities in the healthcare industry. Kevin Yang is an upcoming sophomore at the University of Minnesota, where he pursues his passion for Computer Science and Statistics. He is a part of the Competitive Programming and Board game club. He is a 3 time USA(J)MO qualifier and a 3 time USAPhO qualifier. He can frequently be found teaching others about his passions, from light and sounds to game theory. In his free time, he enjoys video games, board games and coding whatever random idea comes into his head at the time.

Liya is a rising senior at a local magnet high school. She is an active competitor in various national math and physics competitions. She also participated in the 2019 MSNCT. She enjoys learning languages for fun, dabbling in French, Korean, Spanish, Chinese, Latin, and Japanese from time to time. In 2019, she achieved a gold medal in Le Grand Concours, a national French contest. She earned a national award for the 2018 National Latin Exam. She is an avid learner with many broad interests. She has also volunteered as a teacher in math, chess, and coding at non-profit organizations since 2016. In her free time, she enjoys smelling flowers and watching grass grow.

Hans Xu is a rising sophomore at Brown University, where he is studying Applied Mathematics - Economics and International and Public Affairs. Outside of classes, he can be found editing and writing for various publications on campus, or dying inside when his code for computer science class refused to compile for the 87th time. He graduated from Century High School in 2022, where he participated in BPA, and served as captain for both Science Olympiad and the National Economics Challenge. He has also been a coach at RMC since 8th grade, and formerly competed in Math Masters, MathCounts, and Math League. In his free time, he's either playing cards, specifically tractor, browsing edutainment videos on Youtube, scrolling through the New York Times, or going on a long walk.

Felix is a rising senior at Century High School. He has participated in math competitions such as Mathcounts, AMC and AIME. Outside of math is the captain of debate, and he also does Science Bowl, Science Olympiad, math league, and swimming. He partakes in research at Mayo Clinic where he works in the radiology department and works on CT denoising. He has been a Math Club coach for 3 years and was a counselor at the 2022 Art of Sciences Camp. Outside of academics Felix plays piano and violin, table tennis, and gets wildly addicted to watching TV shows to relax.

He attended the Research Science Institute, was a USAMO Bronze medalist, 2x USAJMO Top 50 scorer, 2x USAPhO Qualifier, Regeneron STS Scholar, and competed in the USACO Gold division. He's a Captain of the MN All-State Math Team and placed 8th at PUMaC Algebra, 8th at BMT Geometry, 15th at CHMMC, 19th at CMIMC Combinatorics and was on the 1st place Theoretical Computer Science team. In his free time, he's a die-hard Vikings fan, loves solving puzzles, listening to rock and pop, coming up with spotify playlist names, and playing frisbee.

Zihongbo (Will) Wang is a senior at Boise High School. He has been actively involved in numerous academic competitions, such as MathCounts, Science Bowl, AMC, ARML, USMCA, CHMMC, SMT, BMT, and HMMT. He is currently the president and captain of the Boise High Science Bowl team. Will is the principal oboist for the Idaho All-State Orchestra and Boise Philharmonic Youth Orchestra. He's also a member of the All-National Symphony Orchestra and he enjoys listening to opera music and shopping for things he cannot afford. His favorite composers are Schubert and Rachmaninoff. This past summer, he attended the Research Science Institute, studying the properties of supercooled liquids. While he does his best to remain a responsible netizen, his favorite Minecraft server is minemen.club.
