Dr. Pylyavskyy is a full Professor in the University of Minnesota School of Mathematics. He participated in numerous math Olympiads when he was young. His Math Olympiad achievements include 2 IMO Gold Medals, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze Medal. He was also awarded the Putman fellow.

Mr. Nicholas Wang is an underclassman at NYU Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences working towards a major in mathematics. Nick has extensive experience with math and physics competitions such as the AMC 10/12, AIME, USAJMO, HMMT , ARML and USAPHO and continues to be active with math related activities in university such as the Mathematical Modeling Club and Putnam Competition. Nick enjoys teaching and has organized and taught a 2-week summer math camp for middle school students. He also has experience volunteering at local tutoring centers and working with larger organizations such as AMSP. In his free time, Nick enjoys hiking and playing ultimate frisbee.

Computer Science
Mr. Daniel Li is a freshman in MIT. Daniel was a USACO finalist in the 2018-2019 season. He was also a 2020 and 2021 Canadian Computing Olympiad Invitee, and a 2020 and 2021 season Google Code Jam Round 2 qualifier. He participates in Codeforces contests (danielli03) and has a Master Title as well. Daniel enjoys teaching. He has taught Java and algorithms for 500 hours in his high school years, with more than 100 students. Daniel has made 48 youtube videos to teach java (cswithdaniel), which has more than 400 subscribers. After graduating from high school, he has taught three Bronze/Silver classes in art of science, each class with more than 20 students. In his free time, Daniel participates in church bible study and activities. He does research with college professors. Daniel also likes to play card games and board games. He has programmed video games, but not recently.

Mr. Timothy Alexander is an undergraduate at The University of Alabama double majoring in Math and Chemistry. Timothy’s love and interest in STEM started at a young age as he began participating in math competitions in middle school - winning the Minnesota Mathcounts competition and placing 29th nationally in 2016. As a 5 time AIME qualifier and 1 time USAJMO qualifier. Timothy has been active in individual competitions year round as well as team competitions such as Math League, HMMT, and ARML (competing on Minnesota's A1 team). He was a Minnesota All-State Math Team Captain and John Marshal Math League Captain for 3 years. His experience in programming comes from numerous independent projects such as an automated forex trading algorithm, an election modeler, and a custom assistant bot which performs a variety of tasks. Outside of school, Timothy loves playing sports such as soccer and spikeball, playing strategic board games, and watching shows such as Parks and Rec and Brooklyn 99!

Chemistry
Mr. Chuck Wheeler Handlon

Mr. Chuck Wheeler Handlon, also known as “Dr. Boom”, has over 40 years experience teaching chemistry. The curricula he has taught include Chem - Study, Honors, General, ACS Chemistry in the Community, Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate. He holds both Biology and Chemistry BA degrees and MA in Chemistry Education. He has been a grader for the national Advanced Placement Chemistry exam. His approach to teaching has always involved developing students’ critical thinking and problem solving skills through hands-on activities and laboratory work.
Physics
Dr. Yi Zhou

Dr. Zhou graduated from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) with a B.S. in Modern Physics and then continued to earn his Ph.D in theoretical/computational physics at the University of Houston in the United States. He has been a math and physics enthusiast from an early age, and now has been teaching AP Physics and Physics competitions class for several years. Many of his students have excelled in the AAPT F=ma exam and earned medals in the USAPHO competition. During his free time, Yi enjoys doing interesting math/physics problems and long distance running.
BIOLOGY
Ms. Zhishan Wang
Ms. Zhishan “Hao Hao” Wang is a recent graduate from MIT with a B.S. in biology. Outside of classes, she works as a research intern at the MIT Vander Heiden Lab, studying differentiation in acute myeloid leukemia. During high school, Hao Hao participated in academic competitions such as the AMC, National Science Bowl (NSB), National Ocean Sciences Bowl (NOSB), and National Academic Quiz Tournaments (NAQT). She also has 5+ years of experience teaching math, biology, and reading/writing.

BUSINESS FOR YOUTH
Dr. Jingwei Meng

Dr. Meng is currently a faculty member at Indiana University School of Medicine. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in molecular cancer biology from Duke University and a MBA degree in finance and supply chain management from IU Kelley School of Business. He served as a consultant for several US and China firms and, in 2019, secured $3.5 million investments for two healthcare companies. Dr. Meng is also the co-founder of Melody Culture Foundation, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization established in 2004. He participated actively in cultural and educational services, including the first Chinese TV program in San Diego, concerts and master classes, summer camps, and systematic business training for teenagers. Since 2018, Dr. Meng has developed a comprehensive suite of business courses and instructed in multiple summer camps and weekend programs across the US.
Writing
Mr. Jonathan West

Mr. Jonathan West, BA in Classics from Trinity University, MA in Religion from Trinity International University, and MA in Education from the University of Phoenix. He has been maniacally scribbling red ink since 2001 as an editor then a teacher. Now living in Rochester, MN, he tutors full-time in writing and reading. In his spare time, he plays soccer with his hyperactive Aussiedoodle, draws, and adores Star Wars.

Dr. Bin Zhang

Dr. Zhang started learning and practicing photography from childhood with the film which is rare to see nowadays. One of the great passions of his life is photography which helps him capture the events and scenes of his whole life. His photographic experiments include landscapes, wild animals, sports, and also portraits. He has also served the Rochester Math Club as a photographer in the past several years.
